Regular Past Tense Interactive Notebook

I don't know what is going on this year, but I have a TON of kids that are working on regular past tense verbs. Some of them are struggling to use them appropriately in conversation. Some are struggling with the different ways that it sounds when saying the verbs (Ex. /t/ vs /d/). Others are struggling with writing the verbs. So I have been using one of my older products a lot more lately - Regular Past Tense Interactive Notebook!
This thing is full of tons of activities to target regular past tense verbs. You can start with the basics of what past tense verbs are and lead all the way to using these verbs in conversation.
It also talks about the "rule breakers" when writing these verbs. There are several activities to explore these verbs.
There are many activities for sorting and identifying past tense verbs.
There is also a section regarding how to pronounce regular past tense verbs. Just because you add -ed, doesn't mean it's pronounced as a /d/ sound. These pages focus on determining how to pronounce the various verb endings.
Then the book moves into using regular past tense verbs to complete sentences and to make flashcards for drill.
Some sheets are multiple choice and others require the student to generate the answer. Some sheets have graphics for the students to color while others are text only. There are also 10 speaking/writing prompts designed to elicit past tense verb usage in conversation.
There are also study guides and progress monitoring sheets. Students write the answers in the blanks. Then they can flip over the folded page to check the answers. You could also write the answers in as they verbally answer. Then you can remove the answer sheet from the book for data purposes. If you put multiple copies of the answer sheet in the book, you should have a blank sheet for the next time you want to progress monitor.

This has saved my sanity lately. I just print out a copy of the book and either bind it or put it in a binder. The book will last through MANY sessions, meaning my lesson planning has become a whole lot easier! If this is something you can use, you can find it here.

Thanks!
